Insurance and Fees

I currently take Blue Cross Blue Shield and private pay. Many insurance companies will reimburse for therapy sessions with an LMHC, provided that you have a monthly receipt of services. Therapy can also be considered to be a tax deductible medical expense when not using insurance. I would recommend getting in touch with your insurance company (benefits) and ask if they will reimburse for out-of-network therapy.  In this situation, a client pays the therapist directly, gets invoices for sessions, and submits the invoices to the insurance company for reimbursement.

My rate is $150 for each 45-50 minute session, and $200 for a 60 minute session.

I use Ivy Pay (https://www.talktoivy.com) for secure, HIPAA compliant credit card, debit or HSA payments. Each client will get a link to the secure client portal to complete payments. I also accept sent checks. This applies to private pay clients for payments, and Blue Cross clients for co-pays.

**I have a sliding scale for clients who have difficulty paying this amount. Please ask me about this if you are concerned about affording fees.
